MBA Program Requirements
1. A minimum of 33 semester credits. The program includes a non-thesis and thesis option. The non-thesis option consists of 24 MBA curriculum credits and sufficient cognate electives to total 33 semester credits. The thesis option consists of 24 MBA curriculum credits, thesis course CADM 998 (4 credits), an approved research methods course (3 credits) and a cognate elective (3 credits), totaling 34 semester credits.
2. At least one-half of the credits must be at or above the 500-level electives. A maximum of one-fourth (usually 8-9 semester credits) of the credit hours required may be transferred from another institution.
3. Cognate elective courses for the non-thesis option total 9 semester credits and for the thesis option total 3 semester credits.
4. The requirement of the final examination for the MBA degree is satisfied by the successful completion of MGMT 585, Advanced Strategic Management. MGMT 585 has four prerequisites that MUST be completed prior to enrollment; these courses are ACCT 509, FIN 501, MGMT 515 and MRKT 510.
