A limited number of Graduate Assistantships (GA) are available. Most assistantships are quarter-time assistantships which require 10 hours of work per week. Assistantships are available in most departments offering a graduate degree.
Qualified students may receive financial support in the form of a GA position. A GA stipend for a 9-month appointment is $7,252. GA appointments may also include a tuition waiver and health insurance.
GA's assist professors with grading, proctoring examinations, research and occasionally deliver classroom lectures. GA positions offer graduate students unique hands-on opportunities to gain work-related experience.
