The Frank Wenstrom library, created in 1984, offers students and faculty a unique resource in political science and other fields. The library was named after Frank Wenstrom because of his service to the people of North Dakota through involvement in politics and contains many items from his personal collection. Frank Wenstrom was a leader in North Dakota politics serving in many capacities including District 1 State Senator, Lieutenant Governor, and President of the 1972 constitutional convention. The library contains special publications, periodicals, publications from current and past legislative sessions, and the only collection of North Dakota election abstracts in the state. The library collection specializes in problems in state and local government and provides a resource for specialized research. A new collection, the Opportunities in Education and Careers, provides political science and public administration students with information on graduate school, law school, the GRE, the LSAT, and employment in various private and governmental fields. |
