Pancratz Center Resources for Students
The goal of the Pancratz Career Development Center is to prepare College of Business & Public Administration students with the tools necessary to succeed in their chosen career paths.
The services offered through the Pancratz Center include:
Resume & Cover Letter Reviews
Students may set an appointment with a Pancratz Center staff to discuss interviewing strategies, conduct a mock interview, or use InterviewStream technology
to record and review practice interviews wherever they have access to the internet and a webcam. Students who do not have access to a webcam can record their interviews in the Career Center Conference Room. PCDC staff will review the interview and suggest strategies for improvement.
Job and Internship Searches
The Center maintains a job board with full-time, internship, and co-op listings from UND Career Services as well as other positions that may be of interest to CoBPA students. Job listings can be found both online and on the job board located outside of the Career Center. You can also make an appointment with Pancratz Center staff to learn about job and internship search strategies for your specific major.
Students can stop by the Center or job board for a listing of upcoming job fairs and career-focused events occurring on campus, in the community, and around the region.
Career Center Computers
The Center features two computers that students may use to work on resumes, search job databases, submit applications, and correspond with potential employers.
The Center conference room is a perfect setting for employers to conduct on-campus interviews.
The Center conference room has video conferencing equipment that can be used by CoBPA students for video conferencing with other professionals or to participate in interviews with employers at a distance. Employers who are interested in interviewing CoBPA majors are able to do so through video conferencing, making career opportunities more accessible to our students and our students more accessible to employers. Contact Pancratz Center staff to reserve our conference room for interviewing.
The Center has a Mentor Program for students in their sophomore, junior and senior year of their studies. MBA and MPA students are also eligible for the program. The Mentor Program provides an opportunity for students to connect with professionals in their fields. Students interested in participating in the program are encouraged to contact the Center at 701.777.3628.
Career Fair Preparation
Pancratz Center staff are able to help prepare students for Career Fairs located on- and off-campus. Make an appointment to discuss how to market yourself to company recruiters.
The Pancratz Center staff can help students navigate the world of networking by suggesting student organizations, community organizations, or other networking activities that would be of benefit for a particular major. Pancratz staff can also help students perfect elevator speeches to become comfortable with introductions in networking settings.
LinkedIn and Social Media Review
The Pancratz Center can review or help CoBPA students set up professional looking LinkedIn pages. We can also review social media settings, looking for things that may be potential red flags to employers.
Student organizations can request to have a member of the Pancratz Center staff give a presentation to your organization. Presentations are available in a wide array of professional development topics and are tailored to your group. Please allow a minimum of two weeks notice for scheduling purposes. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 701.777.3628 for more information.
