School of Entrepreneurship
Interested in starting your own business or using your creativity and innovative thinking to help grow someone else’s company? The Entrepreneurship Program at UND can help prepare you with the skills you need to launch or improve any business venture.
About the Program
The practical and experienced School of Entrepreneurship faculty have developed a program designed to equip students with a comprehensive set of entrepreneurial skills, along with a strong business foundation provided by the College of Business & Public Administration core courses. The program focuses on reasoning, creativity, testing, and critical thinking skills valued by the most successful entrepreneurs and companies in business today. These skills make it possible to not only start a business, but make significant contributions to existing companies. Our courses are taught by entrepreneurial instructors with over 50 years of combined business experience in service, retail, international, manufacturing, and social enterprises.
Entrepreneurship is a rapidly growing field of study, especially at UND. Our program has been nationally ranked and recognized for its courses, facilities, faculty, and ability to link our student’s education to real-world practices. All students in the Entrepreneurship Program are challenged to identify and pursue opportunities based on what they are passionate about. For some students, the School of Entrepreneurship is a place to develop and test the beginnings of the next big entrepreneurial idea. For others not ready to make the leap into their own business, it is a place to learn a unique set of skills that will make you a more marketable hire upon graduation.
The School of Entrepreneurship views entrepreneurial thinking as a learnable, manageable process, not something people are born with. Learn about entrepreneurship in small classes, with one-on-one engagement with experienced faculty, in one of only about 660 AACSB International accredited business programs throughout the world.
The School of Entrepreneurship creates and connects to practice new knowledge related to nascent venture creation, development, and finance. Students are prepared to design and launch their own ventures regardless of mission (for profit, not-for-profit or social) or effectively serve existing organizations. Interdisciplinary curricular content focuses on experiential learning of core entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation principles. The School serves both the region and strategic non-regional locations.
