The BPA fund-raising campaign is in full swing and has already resulted in gifts totaling more than $22.6 million dollars as of October 2006. Although many dollars have been invested in building renovations, this campaign also provides significant support for faculty and students. For example, Burton Aarestad donated a large portion of land to develop and support a fund for an endowed chair in business and finance.

The effort is being coordinated by the University of North Dakota Foundation. Needless to say, inquiries will receive a prompt response from President Charles Kupchella (701-777-2121), Dean Dennis Elbert, or Foundation Chief Executive Officer Tim O’Keefe.

We are grateful for the contributions of our alumni and other funding that assists us in addressing our deficits. Although these efforts have produced additional funds, we still face logistical problems due to increased enrollment and the pressure to raise faculty salaries remains.
