As per the request of the Registrar’s Office, the following is the College of Business & Public Administration’s Student Academic Grievance Procedures.
- The student would first initiate the discussion with the involved instructor.
- If the student does not agree with the instructor’s decision and wishes to proceed, he/she must present a written account of the situation to the chair. The written grievance should detail clearly and concisely what is being grieved and what action is desired. The student will be notified by letter of the chair’s decision regarding the grievance.
- If the student does not agree with the chair’s decision, he/she must present the written grievance to the Associate Dean. The student will be notified by letter of the Associate Dean’s decision.
- If the student does not agree with the Associate Dean’s decision, he/she must present the written grievance to the Dean. The student will be notified by letter of the Dean’s decision.
- If the student does not agree with the Dean’s decision, he/she must then submit the appeal to the BPA Appeals Committee. The committee consists of two senior faculty members.
- If the student does no agree with the Appeals Committee’s decision he/she is informed that all appeals within BPA have been exhausted and he/she my initiate the University-level grievance procedure as specified in the Code of Student Life.
