Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope you had a great time, wherever your travels took you, and that you’ve returned refreshed and ready to make the most of the time remaining for the semester. This issue of our Newsletter is mostly devoted to scheduling and scholarship news. And, those of you interested in a great trip, the AMA has news you can use regarding Chicago! Let’s get right to it!

Before attempting to enroll, please check your plan of study and University catalog to be sure that you’ve completed the necessary pre-requisites. REGISTRATION for FALL and SUMMER starts on APRIL 4th, and continues until APRIL 29th. Both SUMMER and FALL registration times are now available on-line for your convenience.

Like to talk over your summer internship possibilities? Check with Academic Advisement at 777-2975. Dr. Askim-Lovseth can be reached at 777-2930, while Dr. Nelson can be found at 777-4213. This might be your summer to snag a great practical experience! A little planning could help make it a reality.

As you look forward to Spring, we are planning to offer all of the courses listed above, but the number of sections may vary. The exception to this will be Advertising, offered only in one larger section for Fall, 2005.

We are pleased to be able to offer such breadth in courses, particularly electives, in the coming year.

Additional Dates to Remember

Graduation will be Saturday, May 14th at the Alerus Center. The College will be hosting an Open House from 11:30-12:30 p.m. in the Pheasant Room to honor May graduates. All are welcome!

The deadline to apply for August 2005 graduation is June 14th, 2005. Applications are available in the Office of Academic Advisement - Gamble 127.

Scholarships

The Marketing department is proud to invite marketing majors to apply for scholarships for the next academic year. Applicants compete for scholarships and/or plaque recognition. In addition, Marketing Faculty choose several outstanding seniors for recognition. All awardees will be invited to participate in the Annual Marketing Department Award Luncheon at the end of the semester.

Deadline for Marketing Department Scholarship applications is April 4th 2005.

AMA Chapter News

The American Marketing Association is planning a field trip to Chicago this April. The trip will include company visits and social events. If you are interested, please contact AMA through Lisa Phelps, Bård Stillerud or through email: und_ama@hotmail.com. Don’t miss this great opportunity to visit the “Windy City!”
