GREETINGS!

Spring Break is just around the corner and on behalf of the Faculty and Staff, we hope you have a great sojourn from the campus!

This edition of the Newsletter is devoted to an overview of offerings for Summer and Fall, 2007, since many of you will be registering upon your return.  We also offer a few reminders regarding graduation dates and requirements for those of you nearer to your destination.

Also, BIG REMINDER:  See the CoBPA homepage for the link to information on SCHOLARSHIPS from the Marketing Department, as well as the CoBPA generally.  Completed applications for Department of Marketing funds are due on MARCH 23, 2007.

Online information for Summer and Fall can be viewed at the UND homepage under the heading for Current Students.

Summer 2007 Course Offerings

As we noted last year, the Department has been making strides to increase Summer offerings in an attempt to assist you in expediting graduation, picking up a potential second major, and otherwise giving you more flexibility in your regular academic year choices.

Summer is a great time to get practical experience in an internship or through a co-op option.  It’s also a good time to “get ahead” on required courses!  This Summer brings the following lineup:

Fall 2007 Update

The Fall course listing is now pretty firm and includes a number of 8-week courses.   The Department will be trying these for the first time in an attempt to enable you more flexibility in your daily and semester-long schedules.  These include offerings in Consumer Behavior and International Marketing (two required courses), as well as one section of Personal Selling (an elective).

First session 8-week courses begin on the first day of classes (Aug. 20th), and end on October 12th.  The final exam will be held on a date indicated by the instructor.  Last day to add will be August 27th.  Last day to drop will be September 26th.

Second session 8-week classes begin on October 15th and end on the “usual last day of classes for the semester” (December 6th), and include a final during finals week.  Last day to add will be October 18th, and last day to drop will be November 16th.

All other courses are semester-length, and the usual drop/add dates will apply.
