This exciting study abroad opportunity offers UND students an in-depth examination of China, a region growing in global importance. Germany
Experience Germany at the highest level through the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program. The program offers 20 American professionals an in-depth understanding of the politics, economic and cultural environment of Germany and Europe through a nine-month professional fellowship program.

United Kingdom – London School of Economics
The internationally renowned Summer School offers short courses taught by leading LSE Faculty. The program was established in 1989 and now has more than 3,000 participants. Courses range from traditional core economics and finance subjects to contemporary politics and management practices. Residents and visitors enjoy the combination of old and new architecture, elegant streetscapes, parks, gardens and beaches.
France – ICN Business School
The ICN program offers an exciting opportunity for students to study business in the context of the European Union. Students will take French language courses in addition to business courses taught in English. Fall/Winter courses will take place in the city of Nancy and students participating in the summer program study in the city of Metz. The summer program offers students the opportunity to travel to Luxemburg and Belgium as part of the summer courses.

BI Norwegian School of Management. Students will gain hands-on knowledge of international business with a distinct Scandinavian approach. MBA Students may study international business for two quarters at BI.
Australia
The UND-University of Sunshine Coast study abroad program offers students an opportunity to study a wide range of academic programs in a beautiful and exciting location. The university, with approx. 7,000 students, is located less than 1 hour north of the city of Brisbane, in the heart of the Sunshine Coast, one of the most beautiful and rapidly developing regions in Australia.
Greece
The American College of Thessaloniki campus is beautifully positioned on a hillside overlooking the city of Thessaloniki and the Thermaic Gulf. With an enrollment close to 800, Greek and international students, ACT offers an intimate learning environment. Students live off campus in the Thessaloniki area. Classes are taught in English, offering students access to the full catalog of classes.

Study abroad is AFFORDABLE. Exchange programs are available, students pay UND Tuition and fees for their study abroad experience. As a UND student, most financial aid and scholarships may be applied to study abroad. At the College of Business & Public Administration student scholarships are available to assist with international experiences each semester.

Students: Would You Like to Go to China, UK, or France Soon? Then Hurry up for Grants!
Several Study Abroad Grants are available to help defray the costs of study abroad in the College of Business and Public Administration. Students who are planning to participate in the CoBPA Faculty Directed Programs for China, London, or Metz (France) during this Spring Break or summer of 2012 are strongly encouraged to send their application to the Dean's Office, Room 110 GH, as soon as possible.
Deadlines are November 18, 2011, January 27, 2012 and April 6, 2012. To access application forms and additional information click "CoBPA Study Abroad Grant Application" on the Web page of the College. For important questions, you may call Dr. Moser at 777-4695.
2011/2012 Study Abroad Grants are available to CoBPA majors and other UND students paying CoBPA program fees. Study abroad grants provide partial reimbursement for costs associated with study outside the United States. Students may seek funding related to UND-sponsored study abroad programs as well as any other study abroad or international program where UND will accept transferred credits. Grants may be used to partially reimburse:
- Travel to/from the United States and the host country.
- In-country costs for meals, lodging, and local transportation.
- Program-related fees
Application Deadlines: The application deadlines for 2011/2012 study abroad grants are November 18, 2011, January 27, 2012 and April 6, 2012. Since there are limited funds available, applicants are encouraged to apply by the earliest possible deadline. Applications submitted after study abroad is completed will not be considered.
- Study Abroad Application 2011/2012
Disbursement of Grants: Awarded funds will be disbursed to students upon submission of 1) eligible receipts for reimbursement and 2) official transcript or other documentation of successful completion of study. All materials required for reimbursement must be submitted by the last day of classes of the semester following the study abroad, or the grant will expire and no reimbursement will be made.
Eligibility Requirements: Each applicant must:
• Be a degree-seeking UND student subject to CoBPA program fees at the time of grant application and travel.
• Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Participate in for-credit university-level study outside the United States.
• Submit a complete application package, received by 4:30 PM on the deadline date.
Applicants who previously have received a CoBPA study abroad grant are eligible to apply for subsequent grants. Amounts awarded, however, may be limited based on amounts of previous awards and funds available for grants.
The evaluation committee reserves the right to verify all information included in the application. If information is found to be false, the application will be considered invalid and the applicant ineligible. Applications not meeting the above eligibility requirements will not be evaluated by the committee.
Selection Process and Criteria
Study abroad grants will be awarded based quality of the application. Important dimensions that will be evaluated include the applicant’s academic background and performance, content and writing style of responses to application questions, and relation of the proposed study abroad activity to the applicant’s program of study. All valid applications will be reviewed by a selection committee composed of CoBPA faculty.

JOIN US! SUMMER EUROPEAN BUSINESS STUDY ABROAD: FRANCE
June 2012 (4 week course)
Sponsored by the College of Business and Public Administration University of North Dakota, the UND-ICN Summer program is taught in English and is open to all UND students (with permission of department) regardless of major and offers an exciting opportunity for students to study business in a setting that combines the business environments of France, Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg.
With special emphasis on the practical development of competency in Supply Chain management, B to B Marketing, and Purchasing Management, the program helps students gain an in-depth understanding of European Business together with its language, history, politics, legal system, customs and culture. Students from UND will meet other students from many other countries and cultures who are also taking this course.
FACULTY
Dr. Connie Bateman is the Director of this Summer Program which takes the form of a 1 credit pre-requisite Spring preparation class (beginning right after spring break), and 3 credit UND Summer School elective: BADM 395: European Business Study Abroad – Metz, France (Special Topics).
