For the 2008-2009 academic school year, qualified students may receive financial support in the form of a Graduate Assistantship (GA) or Board of Higher Education Scholarship. Graduate Assistantship stipends for two semesters are about $11,802 for half-time appointments and $5,901 for quarter-time appointments. GA appointments include a tuition waiver and health insurance.
How to Apply for Assistantships
MBA students who have been admitted in approved or qualified status may apply for assistantships, no later than March 1 for fall semester and September 15 for Spring semester, by sending a cover letter and current resume to the Graduate Advisor. There are a number of assistantships available within the College of Business and Public Administration and other assistantships may be available across campus.
Assistantship Responsibilities
Graduate Assistants assist professors with grading, proctoring examinations, research and occasionally deliver classroom lectures. GA positions offer graduate students unique hands-on opportunities to gain work-related experience. |
