NAIT is the National Association of Industrial Technology and is recognized as the premiere professional association responsible for:

• The promotion of industrial technology in business, industry, education, and government.
• The accreditation of industrial technology programs at universities, colleges and technical institutes.

NAIT at UND
The UND chapter of NAIT helps students apply what they have learned to real world tasks and aids in networking through businesses and other organizations to potential career opportunities or other professional relationships after graduation.

History
NAIT has been a part of UND for over 20 years and has been recognized as an innovative and outstanding organization in several areas of technology. Confirming this is the many awards bestowed upon by NAIT such as:

• The Outstanding NAIT Student Chapter Award. (2002,2006)
• The Judges Award for Best Design Innovation. (2003,2005)
• The best Electronic Methodology Award. (2005)
•  3rd Place (2004) and 2nd Place (2005) Awards for Vision Enhanced Robotic Manipulation.
• Best Poster Award for the Industrial Technology Design Department. (2005)
