The Department of Technology
The undergraduate degree programs offered through the College of Business and Public Administration's Department of Technology are Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design Technology (BSGDT), and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (BSIT), which is accredited by ATMAE (Association of Technology, Management, and Applied engineering). Minors in Technology, including Electronic Technologies, Manufacturing Technologies, Technical Design, and Graphic Design Technology are an integral part of the department's offerings. A Master of Science degree in Technology is also available for graduate study.
Congratulations to the senior Industrial Technology students who successfully passed the national Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) Certified Technology Manager exam in May 2013!

The Certified Technology Manager examination consists of varying questions from over 9 categories, including chemistry, English, industrial safety management, management, math, physics, production, psychology, and quality control.
The average national pass rate for the exam is 52.17%. These students earned a 85.71% pass rate, which is well above the national average!

Established in 1929, Epsilon Pi Tau (EPT) is the premier academic and professional honors society for technology students and educators. The Gamma Gamma chapter operates from the campus of the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.

New Minors Offered
Three new minors offered in the Department of Technology were recently approved by the State Board of Higher Education: Graphic Design Technology, Technical Design, and Operations and Supply Chain Management. These new minors, along with the existing minors in Manufacturing Technologies and Electronics and Control Technologies, provide students with significant backgrounds in theory, practice, skills development, and problem solving that they need to be successful in their careers.
