Graduate Funding Opportunities
Explore graduate assistantships and scholarships.
Admitted graduate students can apply for a variety of funding options, including Graduate Assistant positions and Academic Scholarships. Each opportunity has its own eligibility criteria and requires a separate application. Funding is not guaranteed with admission to a Nistler College of Business & Public Administration graduate program.
Graduate Assistantship Positions
There are a limited number of graduate assistant positions available, and the application process is highly competitive. Nistler College graduate assistant positions are awarded by the School of Graduate Studies, and not by individual faculty members or academic departments.
- Applicants must be admitted to a graduate program in the Nistler College prior to applying for an assistantship position.
- 3.0/4.0 Cumulative GPA in a bachelor’s degree.
- Graduate Assistants must maintain enrollment in a minimum of 6 graduate credits each Fall/Spring semester.
- Must be able to fulfill graduate assistantship hours on campus.
- Apply and be admitted into a Nistler College graduate program.
- Funding requests will not be considered unless a student has been admitted.

Fall Semester
- Must be admitted to a graduate program in the Nistler College by March 15.
- Must send resume to Michelle Garske by April 15.
- Interviews and graduate assistant offers are typically completed in May.
Spring Semester
- Must be admitted to a graduate program in the Nistler College by August 15.
- Must send resume to Michelle Garske by September 15.
- Interviews and graduate assistant offers are typically completed in October.
- Quarter-time position (10 hours per week)
- 3 credits of tuition waiver per semester (Fall and Spring only)
- 9-month stipend of $8,500 USD
- Half-time position (20 hours per week)
- 6 credits of tuition waiver per semester (Fall and Spring only)
- 9-month stipend of $17,000 USD

The Nistler College is proud to provide academic scholarships for graduate students. Scholarships are awarded annually for the full academic year.

Scholarship Central opens October 1 for the following year and closes March 1. You can search for scholarship opportunities and submit your academic scholarship application through Scholarship Central.
Eligibility
You must be admitted as a graduate student within the Nistler College to apply for scholarships. All applicants must complete the UND General Scholarship Application.
