Marketing Department Scholarships
The Department of Marketing, through the generous support of friends who have established endowments with the UND Alumni Foundation, is able to offer several undergraduate scholarships each academic year.
Recipients must be Marketing majors. Other criteria, as specified by the donors, apply to each scholarship. General information is below.
Applications for most UND scholarships are consolidated through the central scholarships site. Declared Marketing (undergraduate) majors will see the department's scholarships as part of their eligibility portfolio.
Scholarship Central 2026-2027 opens October 1, 2025 and closes for current students March 1, 2026. For incoming freshmen, the application opens on October 1, 2025 and closes February 1, 2026.
Bully Brew Coffee Scholarship
The Bully Brew Coffee Scholarship is awarded to one or more students majoring in Marketing within the Nistler College of Business and Public Administration. Preference shall be given to members of the Women in Business organization.
Harry A. Gershman Memorial Marketing Scholarship
Awarded to one or more junior/senior marketing student(s) who meet the following criteria: from Grand Forks or Pembina County in the state of North Dakota, be of good character with above average grades.
M.W. Kiesau Memorial Scholarship
The M.W. Kiesau Memorial Scholarship is awarded to one or more students majoring in Marketing within the Nistler College of Business and Public Administration. The recipients shall have demonstrated academic promise, a positive attitude, and a strong desire for success and leadership.
ND Coffee Roastery Scholarship
The ND Coffee Roastery Scholarship is awarded to students majoring in Marketing within the Nistler College of Business & Public Administration. Preference given to students who are members of the Women in Business organization.
E.E. "Mick" Simmons Memorial Scholarship
The E.E. “Mick” Simmons Memorial Scholarship is awarded to one or more junior or senior Marketing student or Communication students enrolled in the either the College of Business or the College of Arts and Sciences. The recipient will be a student who is interested in working for a marketing and communications firm. The scholarship will be administered through the Marketing Department within the College of Business and Public Administration.
Jonathan and Amy Warrey Family Scholarship
The Jonathan and Amy Warrey Family Scholarship is awarded to one student who is majoring in Marketing within the Nistler College of Business and Public Administration
Charles and Helen Whitlo Scholarship
The Charles and Helen Whitlo Scholarship is awarded to one or more students who meet the following criteria: majoring in Marketing within the Nistler College of Business and Public Administration; minimum of 30 credit hours; outstanding record of academic achievement; strong interest in the field of marketing. Preferences shall be given to students who exhibit financial need.
