Women's Leadership Summit
Join the UND Nistler College of Business & Public Administration for our Virtual UND Women in Leadership Summit on Tuesday, March 30 from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
This virtual conference will incorporate the Hultberg Panel Discussion featuring a discussion with distinguished UND Alumnae and their perspective’s on women in leadership today. The panel discussion featured speakers are:

- Kim Woods, AVP, Senior Director of Development NCoBPA
- Lindsay Henderson, Human Resources, Icon Architects
- Sarah Nupdal, SVP - Banking Legal Manager, Bell Bank
Following the panel discussion hear from Keynote Speaker, Carin Anderson, Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Retail Management with the Minnesota Wild hockey team.
Hultberg Panelists Biographies
Kim Woods
Kim Woods holds the title of Associate Vice President and Senior Director of Development
for the Nistler College of Business & Public Administration. In her role, Kim engages and develops relationships with our alumni, friends and corporations by sharing
exciting funding initiatives that will make a significant difference for our University,
faculty, and students. She is leading the capital campaign to build the new Nistler
College of Business & Public Administration.
She earned her undergraduate degree in communication from the University of North
Dakota. Prior to her time at UND she spent 25 years at Alerus Financial as a relationship
manager. During the past 15 years now working for her alma mater, she has been working
to increase donor engagement, create impactful connections, and build strong financial
support for our business college endowments.
When she’s not creating opportunities for students to succeed, Kim spends her time with family at the lake, attending all UND sporting events, traveling,
and volunteering.
Sarah Nupdal
Sarah Nupdal holds the title of Senior Vice President, Banking Legal Manager at Bell
Bank. In her role, she leads what she refers to as “the dream team” in providing legal
guidance and expertise to the core banking business lines across the organization.
Sarah is passionate about risk management, creating efficiencies and collaboration.
She earned her undergraduate business degree and her law degree (cum laude) from the
University of North Dakota. Sarah is a graduate the United Way’s 35 under 35 Women’s
Leadership Program and currently serves on the board of directors for BIO Girls.
Sarah lives in Fargo with her husband Nick and their two children. She enjoys spending
time at the lake, reading and cheering on the UND Men’s Hockey team.
Lindsay Henderson
Lindsay Henderson holds the title of Human Resource Manager at ICON Architectural
Group. In her role, she manages all employee relations, benefits, hiring, policy creation
and compliance, and process implementation.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management and Marketing from
the University of North Dakota. Prior to ICON, she worked as a Human Resources Generalist
at Cargill in Fargo, ND at their Financial Services Center.
Lindsay enjoys sending time with her husband, Tom, and their two toddlers, Mac and
Claire.
Mary Fischer
Mary Fischer is Director of Sponsorships for UnitedHealth Group. In her role, Mary is responsible for developing and leveraging strategic partnerships to facilitate business growth and brand advancement. She has provided strategic oversight for hundreds of sponsorships and enjoys being able to combine her love of sports with her business expertise.
Mary serves on the board of Sports Minneapolis and has served on the alumni board of the University of North Dakota School of Business s. In addition, she mentors UND students and is an avid cyclist. She earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from the University of North Dakota and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis.
Keynote Speaker
Carin Anderson
Carin Anderson is in her 24th year with the Minnesota Wild and fourth as Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships and Retail Management after being promoted on June 1, 2017. In her role, Anderson successfully directs the sales development and growth for all of the Wild’s and Xcel Energy Center’s corporate partnerships and premium seating of suites and loges. Anderson has been instrumental in fostering key corporate relationships such as Xcel Energy, Wells Fargo, Anheuser Busch, Coca-Cola, Treasure Island Resort and Casino, Andersen Windows, Polaris, along with others throughout the years. In addition, she oversees the Retail Operations for the Minnesota Wild including game day sales, stores at Xcel Energy Center and Southdale along with an emerging e-commerce strategy.
An employee since July of 1997, Anderson is one of the organization’s longest tenured employees. She previously held the positions of Director of Corporate Services and Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships and Retail Operations. Her duties included assisting in corporate partner development and managing the service and fulfillment of all partnership commitments.
Anderson serves as Chair of the A.C.E.S. Board of Directors and is a member of the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Foundation Board of Directors.
Prior to her time with the Wild, Anderson spent six years with the University of Minnesota’s Men’s Athletic Department as a Marketing Manager.
A native of North Branch, Minn., Anderson received a business degree with an emphasis in finance from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management in 1991.
She and her husband, Brent, have two sons, Eli and Owen. The family resides in Hugo.
