Middleton Business Plan Competition

The Middleton Business Plan Competition will be held April 19-20, 2024.

Prizes

Up to $35,000 in prizes will be given away

• Best Overall: $10,000
• Runner Up: $8,000
• 2nd Runner Up: $6,000
• Most Innovative/Highest Growth Potential: $4,000
• Social Impact: $4,000
• Best Undergraduate Team: $3,000

Format

• Semi-Final Round - April 19, 2024
• Final Round - April 20, 2024 (morning competition followed by lunch)
• Length of Presentation - 20 minutes (strictly timed) + 20 minutes for questions and answers

Schedule

• Information Session: March 20, 2024 at 4:30 p.m.
• Intent to Compete: April 3, 2024 by 11:59 p.m.
• Business Plans Due/Final Commitment to Compete: April 15, 2024 by 11:59 p.m.

MBPC Workshops and Pitch Rehearsals

• Wednesdays: March 20 & 27, April 3 & 10 from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
• Thursdays: 3:30 - 6:15 p.m., Nistler Hall 310 (in conjunction with ENTR 450 class)
• Rehearsal times will be provided via a sign-up form.

Requirements

• All teams need to attend a workshop and rehearsal accociated with the event.
• The competition is in-person only (not Zoom), and all members must be present.
• Teams must be present for the entire event on the final presentation day to be eligible for any of the prizes.

Judges

• Preliminary Round: Approximately 12 judges depending on number of entries.
• Final Round: 5 judges
