Middleton Pitch Competition

Pitch Your Idea. Shape Your Future.

The Middleton Pitch Competition gives students the opportunity to present innovative business ideas to a panel of judges, sharpening their communication skills while receiving real-world feedback. These competitions encourage creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial confidence, helping students turn ideas into viable ventures.

Competition Overview

Students are tasked with creating a two minute pitch to present to a panel of expert judges. To best prepare, students attend a "How to Pitch" workshop hosted by Middleton School faculty. After the workshop, students are required to submit an intent to compete. There will be two additional optional pitch rehearsals scheduled.

The competition is open to current UND students only and both the undergraduate and graduate level. All pitches are required to be completed in an in-person format.

Prizes

The Middleton Pitch Competition offers up to $8,000 in prizes to recognize outstanding student ideas (final amounts awarded are at the judges’ discretion). Awards may include: Best Overall, Most Innovative, Big Idea, and Social Impact, and Best Undergraduate Team. Additionally, a People’s Choice award  allows the audience to celebrate their favorite pitch. These prizes reward creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial excellence among participating students.
