VCSU Bridge Program

Valley City State University (VCSU) Business Administration - Managerial Accounting and Finance concentration students, can seek early admission into a type of combined Bachelor-Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program that is referred to as the “Bridge to the MAcc” program.

Bridget to the MAcc Admissions Criteria

VCSU undergraduate students completing the Accountancy concentration in the Business major may apply for admission into the Bridge to the MAcc program as early as the semester when they will earn their 90th credit hour and as late as the semester before their last semester as a Bachelor of Business student. 

VCSU students must submit all application materials required by both the MAcc program and the UND School of Graduate Studies by the final application deadline in order to be considered for admission into the bridge program.

Requirements

Courses

VCSU students admitted into the bridge MAcc program are able to take up to 6 credits of graduate-level courses from UND during the student’s senior year. 

Fall Semester

Code ACCT 510 not found (or empty).

Spring Semester

ACCT 512. Accounting for Governments & Nonprofits. 3 Credits.

This course covers accounting for governmental and nonprofit entities, including fund accounting. Prerequisite: Permission of MAcc Director. S.

Expectations Following Graduation

  • Following VCSU graduation and after completing the bridge course(s) with grade(s) of B or better, students in the bridge MAcc program will be admitted into UND’s MAcc program and will be considered graduate students.
  • Students must complete the remaining program requirements within a year of graduating from VCSU.
  • Students must, always, maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in all MAcc courses.
