Pancratz Center Student Internship Feature

Lexi

Lexi Mudrick

  1. Majors: Marketing and Information Systems

  2. Internship accepted and company name: Marketing and Social Media Intern for the Grand Forks Fire Department

  3. How did you find your internship?: Through Handshake and the Pancratz Career Development Center

  4. What is your favorite part about your internship?: My favorite part of working for the fire department is working with a diverse crew, witnessing and capturing different training materials, and getting experience within the fire service as well as within the marketing to reach out to the Grand Forks community!

  5. Involvement on campus: Dakota Venture Group, Women in Business, the Pancratz Mentor Program, and Peer Mentorship Program

  6. How has the Pancratz Center helped you thus far?: The Pancratz Center has helped me with so many useful tools including resume building, interview prep, and finding my current internship role! I wouldn’t have had the knowledge and tools if I hadn’t visited them. The resources I have used from the Pancratz Center have set me up for success!

  7. Do you have any advice for other students who are searching and applying for internships? My advice is that it is okay to take it slow. An internship may not necessarily fall in your lap right away and it will most likely take hard work and dedication to get the role you want. I can guarantee the hard work will show for the position you apply for and the internship you get!
