The Pancratz Career Development Center offers a wide variety of resources for students to lay the foundation for their future careers. To utilize any of the Pancratz Center's services, schedule an appointment on Hawk Central, give us a call, or send us an email.
How to SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT
Our Services
The Pancratz Career Development Center offers resources for students interested in exploring career options using assessments. Students can take any of the assessments on their own and then schedule a follow-up meeting with a Pancratz Center staff member to discuss the next steps.
The Pancratz Center staff is able to help prepare students for career fairs located on- and off-campus. Make an appointment to prepare for career fairs and discuss how to market yourself to company recruiters.
We recommend students always include a cover letter when submitting their application and resume for a job or internship.
Students may visit the Pancratz Center to discuss their cover letter, learn new tips and writing strategies, and have their letter reviewed by a Pancratz Center staff member.
Our services are available to Nistler CoBPA graduate students, both online and on-campus. If you are a graduate student looking to take the next steps in your career preparations, our team is available to assist you.
Handshake is an excellent platform to utilize when searching for a job or internship. Handshake can help students get hired, discover new opportunities, connect with employers, and create awareness of various professional development events going on. Our Pancratz Center staff can help you navigate the platform and create a profile.
Our website is updated bi-weekly with full-time, internship, and co-op listings from UND Career Services as well as other positions that may be of interest to Nistler CoBPA students.
Most Job listings can also be found on Handshake. You can also make an appointment with the Pancratz Center to learn about other job and internship search strategies for your specific major.
Current INTERNSHIP & Job OPPORTUNITIES
The Pancratz Center also works with the academic department internship coordinators to register students in their internship courses.
Students may schedule an appointment with a Pancratz Center staff member to discuss interviewing strategies, conduct a mock interview, or to get help articulating common interview answers.
The Nistler Hall Student Engagement Hub is equipped with multiple interivew rooms that students can use when taking part in remote interviews.
Employers who are interested in interviewing Nistler CoBPA students are able to use the interview rooms as well. Employers can do so through in-person events or video conferencing, making career opportunities more accessible to our students and our students more accessible to employers. Contact the Pancratz Center to reserve an interview room.
The Pancratz Center can review or help Nistler CoBPA students set up professional looking LinkedIn pages. We can also review other social media settings, looking for things that may be potential red flags to employers.
The Pancratz Center has a Mentor Program for undergraduate students in their sophomore, junior and senior year of their studies. Graduate students are also eligible for the program.
The Mentor Program provides an opportunity for students to connect with professionals in their fields. Students interested in participating in the program are encouraged to apply for the program when applications open up during the spring semester.
Make a great first impression at your next interview or networking event with some help from the Pancratz Professional Closet!
We have a wide variety of professional clothing for both men and women, generously donated to the Pancratz Center by alumni and friends of the college.
Current Nistler CoBPA students are allowed two clothing items and an accessory each semester. The best part - it's entirely FREE for students!
The Professional Closet is available by appointment Monday-Friday.
Donations
Donations are welcome during our normal business hours. If you are able, please let us know when you will be in ahead of time. If you do not have clothing to donate, you can make a monetary donation at any time. Thank you for your continued support!
Take your professional brand to the next level with a free professional headshot photo at the Pancratz Center! These photos can be used for a LinkedIn profile, CPA exam application, class requirement, etc.
Resumes are a critical tool for students to gain job and internship opportunities, so it's important to continuously update and perfect your resume.
Students may visit the Pancratz Center to discuss resume writing strategies or to have their documents reviewed by a Pancratz Center staff member.
Are you looking to become more involved?
Pancratz Center staff understands the importance of student involvement and its role in strengthening your college experience. We work closely with many of the student organizations within the college and would be happy to help find a great organization for you to get involved with.
The Pancratz Center staff can help students navigate the world of networking by suggesting student organizations, community organizations, or other networking activities that would be of benefit for a particular major.
Student organizations can request to have a member of the Pancratz Center staff give a presentation to your organization. Presentations are available in a wide array of professional development topics and are tailored to your group. Please allow a minimum of two weeks notice for scheduling purposes.
